According to the National Safe Kids Campaign more than 14 million children are injured every year seriously enough to require medical treatment. That's one in four children under 4 years of age, and in their own home.
When an infant is not very active, it feels useless to start baby proofing. But infants become active toddlers very quickly and even the calmest baby will start getting into your kitchen cabinets, office supplies and all sorts of items around the house you never thought twice about. We recommend proofing your home when your baby is between 7 and 9 months so that you will be more comfortable with the changes as your child grows.
When it comes to baby proofing, I am what you might call a minimalist. Many products out there are of such poor quality that you waste a lot of money, or just simply useless. Often baby proofing can be done by simply rearranging a piece of furniture or putting a small eyehook on a door. I don’t believe in a product for item in your home or putting bumpers and soft pads on every little edge – you are living there too. During our consultation I would seek critical areas in the home with potential for greater harm than just a tiny bump or scratch. My philosophy emphasizes aesthetics in your home while maintaining a safe environment for your toddler.
Consultations take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. During this time we discuss various options for custom installation, and various approaches when baby proofing.
"Fantastic!! Found Alex on Yelp and was not disappointed. Returned phone calls promptly. Both he and his installers were very polite, courteous, and helpful. Highlighted several childproofing ideas we would not have thought of ourselves. Installation went very smoothly and efficiently. Pricing was in line with what I expected. Highly recommend to others!!"

"Excellent. Reasonable rates, lots of good advice beyond the install, punctual, reliable. You can just tell that Alex is conscientious and wants to do a good job. He is also very pleasant to deal with. What took him an hour would have taken us 3x as long. We were very pleased."
